Prior to taking up his post as Behavioural Consultant to Studio III, Tony was part of the pioneering team which proved the effectiveness of ‘Low-arousal’ approaches in the workplace. As Clinical and training co-ordinator for a service providing support for people with a learning disability who presented with challenging behaviours, one of Tony’s responsibilities was to manage the psychology support service. During this time, the adoption of the ‘Low-arousal’ philosophy contributed to a significant reduction in the need for physical interventions. Tony’s first hand experience of working with service users who challenge has provided invaluable input to the making of this video.
